What’s Happening This Summer at Kai’s Education?
Hi everyone!
This week, I wanted to take a moment to share a personal message with you — a behind-the-scenes look at what’s been happening here at Kai’s Education as we head into a busy (and exciting!) few months.
While many of you in the Northern Hemisphere are winding down your school year, splashing into swimming pools, and planning trips to make the most out of the warm weather (yes, I am a LITTLE envious!), down here in New Zealand, I’m layering up for winter and ramping up for one of our busiest seasons yet. Some of you may have seen the National Business Review article, on how we raised a whopping $2.34 million for our US expansion!
We have appointed Mike Fuller as our Chief Growth Officer to head our US office and can’t wait to see what the next 12 months bring.
The team is still working just as hard as ever, though, to allow both local and global accessibility for coding technologies. I believe that a chance is necessary, and it’s coming with Kai’s Education.

Summer in the U.S. Means STEM Time for Kai’s Education
As summer washes over the U.S., Kai’s Education is going FULL STEAM AHEAD! Preparing for workshops, finalizing our presentations, and we’re getting ready to hit the road. I’m especially looking forward to presenting at Electrify Aotearoa, a powerful event celebrating female founders in tech. It’s a cause close to my heart and one I’m truly honored to be part of– Albeit, a little nervous, but a grand opportunity nonetheless.
Meanwhile, over in the U.S., we’re getting ready for the Kaibot Summer Workshops in Fort Worth and Richardson, Texas. These hands-on sessions are a fantastic way for teachers to upskill, dive into robotics and master computational thinking while having a ton of fun. If you’re in the area and interested, there’s still time to register — we’d love to see you there!
Join Our Upcoming Webinar: Curriculum, STEAM & Computational Thinking
Join myself and Bobbi Starling, in a free webinar coming up that focuses on integrating computational thinking and STEAM into everyday classroom learning. If you haven’t been attending our webinars, that needs to change! As educators, we know that digital skills are no longer something optional, and the session is packed with practical strategies to bring coding and problem-solving into your curriculum.
Whether you’re brand new to computational thinking or looking to deepen your existing practice, this session is designed to meet you where you are. We’ll explore how to create cross-curricular connections, boost student engagement, and make STEM concepts more accessible for all learners — no matter the grade level or tech experience.

ISTE 2025: Big Dreams, Big Launches!
We’re also deep in prep mode for ISTE. We’ll be excited to see you in San Antonio– booth 3436. Additionally, at ISTE25, we’ll be launching:
- Market Math – With a focus on arithmetic and mathematical based coding, the real-world application helps students to understand formulas better.
- Literacy Kitchen – Focusing on language, grammar, spelling, and improvement and refinement of vital fundamental literacy skills.

These tools are designed to boost students’ math and reading engagement. In fact, we believe this will impact student STAAR ratings in Texas in a VERY positive way. We can’t wait to share more in person!
Grants, Pilots & District Partnerships
One thing we’re always doing is looking for new ways to help schools access the resources they need. From grant writing support to district-wide pilot programs, we’re committed to removing barriers to quality STEM education.
So, we send out a call to action: If you’re a district leader or instructional coach and you’re interested in piloting Kai’s Education tools at a broader level, I would love to hear from you!
Our Customer Success Managers (Bonnie, Karen and Cori) will also be hitting the road, offering in-person training and support to help teachers bring Kai’s robots to life.
Sneak Peek: Our New Teacher Portal is Coming Soon!
I’m very excited to announce that a brand-new Teacher Portal is on the way! Designed to simplify your experience, it will give you quick access to lesson plans, allow you to track student progress, and manage classroom resources — all in one place. It’s everything you need to bring Kai’s Education tools to life, more efficiently than ever.
This has been a real team effort, with Bruce’s vision and the help from some incredible new interns who’ve been working tirelessly behind the scenes. They’ve brought fresh energy and valuable insights to the design, ensuring the portal truly meets the needs and standards of today’s educators. Stay tuned — we can’t wait to share it with you soon!
